The 12th WWEC Worldwide Educators Conference was successfully held from August 20 to 22, 2026, at Hall 4.2 of the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC) in Shanghai. Themed "Deepen Talent Strategy Implementation, Accelerate Progress Toward an Education Power" .

The conference was guided by the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) and co-hosted by CIFAL Shanghai.

Mr. Alexander Mejia delivered keynote speech

Mr. Alexander Mejia, Director of the Division for People and Social Development, UNITAR, and Head of the CIFAL Global Network; Ms. Adriana López Mendoza, Global Coordinator of the CIFAL Global Network; Amb. Sungchul Shin, Director of CIFAL Jeju; Dr. Michelle Rubido Palumbarit, Director of CIFAL Philippines; and Ms. Akiko Ito, Director of CIFAL Japan attended the conference. Mr. Wang Genxiang, Chairperson of CIFAL Shanghai, and Mr. Chen Wei, Executive Deputy Director of CIFAL Shanghai, were also in attendance.

The conference attracted representatives from over ten countries and tens of thousands of online and offline participants. It featured 178 keynote speeches, 29 roundtable dialogues, and 23 parallel sessions, with 356 Chinese and international speakers taking the stage. Both the scale and standard reached an all-time high.
